You can send in your babies name, address, and birth date to the White House and in return they will send you back a greeting from the President and First Lady. What a great way to document the time your child was born. Such a great keepsake for their baby book.

Saddles and Rattles

A Hoe Down Baby Shower

Strap on your saddle and grab your rattle as we celebrate the little cowboy on his way.

Themed baby showers is our topic for April and this week we are featuring a Saddles & Rattles baby shower. Tell your guest to dress western and offer a western bbq for lunch or dinner.

This would be a great theme shower to do with couples. 

Here are some great entertaining and decor ideas to keep the theme of your Rattles & Saddles Shower:

-Serve chips & snacks in cowboy hats. 

-Use mason jars to serve your favorite beverage. 

-Use bandanna style table cloths.

-Use a silver pen and write guest names on horseshoes for place cards.

-Fill cowboy boots with flowers to create centerpieces on your tables.

-Use galvanized horse troughs and fill with ice to place your beverages in.

We hope these are some fun ideas to get you started on creating that perfect themed shower for your little cowboy.

Happy Earth Day

With today being Earth Day, we wanted to share some of our favorite products with you that we have found. Starting with gdiapers. gDiapers consist of a washable, cotton outer pant and a plastic free flushable refill. They are made of breathable material just like sports clothing. They come in a variety of colors and sizes small, medium, and large. Unlike other diapers, these break down in 50-150 days!! Check them out here.

Method home just released their new baby product line today!! I can't wait to pick some of their products up on my next trip to Target. The lotion is 95% natural and the body wash is 99% natural. These squeaky green products are made from rice milk + mallow! Be sure to check them out!!

Do you Frop?

We just came across this neat contraption. It is called the Fropper by International Playthings. It is for children 18 months+. The two level seat has a spring system that allows your little one to bounce as he strolls down the sidewalk. It also folds to a fraction of its size, which makes it great for storing.

Where was this when we were kids? This looks like a lot of fun. It retails for $69 and you can find it here. 

With summer on the horizon this would be a blast for your little one. Not only does it sound cool, it looks cool too! So, get to Froppin'!!

Welcome back!!! We are so excited to share our first find with you. It comes from Kacey at Doodlebugs Paper

She has an entire site full of fabulous personalized stationary. One of our favorites is the kids thank you notes. It makes writing thank you notes for children much easier and the prints to choose from are great!

Welcome

We are so excited that you have found us! A Savvy Baby is a new blog dedicated to moms and, of course, babies and children. It was founded by two sisters and a close friend, two who are event planners and the other a stay at home mom. 

We have a lot in store for this new site. Some of the things we will feature will be our favorite products, parenting tips, recipes, baby shower ideas and planning, interviews with other moms,  and of course a ton of giveaways. We will also feature a Savvy Baby of the Month!

We are a new site so if you have any suggestions or things you would like to see or read about on here please let us know! Also, if you know of someone who should be featured on A Savvy Baby please let us know as well. We love supporting moms and their businesses!!
